Lt. Michael R. Sanchez, PhD, is a veteran law enforcement officer, educator, and international police trainer with more than three decades of experience in detention, policing, criminal investigations, leadership, and professional instruction.
His career has included service as a Texas Master Peace Officer, Supervisor, Investigator, Lieutenant, and Interim Chief of Police.
Dr. Sanchez served four years as an International Police Officer for the United Nations in several command and executive positions. Positions include Regional Commander, Deputy Chief of the UN Police Training Centre, Director of Personnel and Administration, and Acting Deputy Commissioner for Administration.
Dr. Sanchez holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Criminal Justice. He currently serves as a university lecturer in criminal justice, while continuing his service as a Texas Peace Officer.
